After its birth in 1992, the department of Mass Communication and Journalism has so far awarded one PhD Degree and six M. Phil Degree to the fellows concerned.
Besides, the Masters Degree students of the department undertake research work and prepare thesis papers as part of their academic courses. Some 52 thesis papers have so far been prepared on various topics. Of these 3 are on television, 11 on Newspaper, 5 on Internet, 5 on Community Radio, 12 on Development Sector, 5 on Film, 3 on Health issues, 2 on Literature and Education and 2 on Advertisement.
Moreover, BSS fourth year students conduct Research Monograph under a course. Some 247 Monographs on Mass Communication, Politics, Health Communication, New-media and Social Science etc. are there in the seminar library of the department which was conducted by our honors students.
